Arabic Beginners - Modular Course - C - Online Live

This course is delivered online via zoom in a real time virtual classroom.

This 11 week Arabic Beginners Modular course will teach you how to exchange information in simple everyday situations.
By the end of the course successful students should be able to:
- Practise the sounds and the Arabic script in writing
- Exchange and enlarge basic greetings
- Give and request personal details
- Use numbers in different settings: time, general numeracy, paying
- Shop around towns/markets
- Request information : timetable/directions/move around places
- Use basic expressions to facilitate communication

How will I be taught?

The focus will be on oral communication (speaking and listening) and some reading and writing will also be included. Pronunciation and Arabic culture are an integral part of the course. The course will be conducted mainly in the foreign language. Learners will work through different activities individually, in pairs and in small groups, using a variety of learning methods and resources (role play and games etc). Homework set will provide an opportunity for self study including the use of online resources.

What do I need to have with me?

The course book will be discussed at the first session if appropriate. Students will need to bring a pen and paper and an A4 ring binder for handouts, although we advise students not to buy anything until after the first session.
