Learn how to observe and produce beautiful drawings of plants and flowers on this one day Art course. Observational skills will be developed throughout and you will learn basic techniques of using coloured pencils.
The tutor for this course will guide you through:
What to look for to help you when making your drawings
Consider the composition of the image on the paper
Colour matching your palette to your plant or flower
Drawing and the use of line for accuracy
Help with the understanding of plant biology
This is a very considered art that can help you produce drawings to be proud of.
The session will be tutor led, to enable you to build your knowledge and skills in a progressive structured fashion.

About the Tutor: Amber Halsall
How will I be taught?
Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstrations, one to one guidance, group discussions and critiques. You will undertake critical reflection and evaluation and be motivated to develop creative skills and enhance/develop personal skills.
What do I need to bring with me?
A good Cartridge paper A4 sized sketch book, and a set of coloured pencils. Please bring along anything you think could be suitable.

Further art or botanical courses.

All students are welcome on this course who have an interest in using coloured pencils and producing accurate observational drawings of plants and flowers.
