How will I be taught?

On the course the emphasis is on sharing work in a group to help get multiple perspectives on the work and a broader sense of likely reader reactions. The tutor will guide discussions and give advice both particular and general to assist you in refining your work. He will also introduce exercises and exemplars to assist you in your thinking. Each week you will share an extract of your work in progress for comment and supportive help. It is assumed that you will spend some time at home each week either researching, writing or revising.
Your progress will be monitored informally and by the use of an Individual Learning Plan.
Please note that the tutor will not be able to read and comment on your entire novel or large poetry collection but he will take in work from time to time as requested.

What do I need to bring with me?

Pen and dedicated writing notebook.
