Charlie runs his own writing and tutoring business from a shed at the top of his garden. He has an MA in 'Language, The Arts and Education' specialising in Creative Writing. He loves working in community settings and runs various workshops. He supports this by his membership of Lapidus, an organisation linking wellbeing with writing, and NAWE, the National Association of Writers in Education.
Charlie has published several local history books and also co-wrote and edited a series of 25 books for Hodder & Stoughton in their 'Beginners Guide to Literature' series as well as writing 'The Complete Writing Course' for the Regent Academy. Recently he has been published in several poetry anthologies, the latest being ‘Reconsider the Collection’ published by Tunbridge Wells Museum and ‘Links in the Chain’ published by Roundel. Some of his work was exhibited in 2017 at Trinity Arts in an exhibition by the arts collective Fractals. He performs locally and had his first one-man show called ‘Selfie’ in April 2017.
How will I be taught?
Your tutor will create a supportive environment that encourages students to evaluate their own work and to give constructive criticism of other's work.
