Whatever your level of experience, this life enhancing course will help you to gain more enjoyment from your writing by taking the time to explore new techniques, styles and subjects. Under the friendly guidance of the tutor you’ll be shown how to produce a variety of written pieces. Who is the tutor?
About the Tutor: Charlie Bell
Charlie runs his own writing and tutoring business from a shed at the top of his garden. He has an MA in 'Language, The Arts and Education' specialising in Creative Writing. He loves working in community settings and runs various workshops. He supports this by his membership of Lapidus, an organisation linking wellbeing with writing, and NAWE, the National Association of Writers in Education.
Charlie has published several local history books and also co-wrote and edited a series of 25 books for Hodder & Stoughton in their 'Beginners Guide to Literature' series as well as writing 'The Complete Writing Course' for the Regent Academy. Recently he has been published in several poetry anthologies, the latest being ‘Reconsider the Collection’ published by Tunbridge Wells Museum and ‘Links in the Chain’ published by Roundel. Some of his work was exhibited in 2017 at Trinity Arts in an exhibition by the arts collective Fractals. He performs locally and had his first one-man show called ‘Selfie’ in April 2017.
How will I be taught?
Each session will include selected readings, discussion, tutor input, writing tasks and peer review. Each week you will be set a task to do over the week., You will be given oral and written feedback from the tutor, oral feedback from peer review, and opportunities to self-assess throughout the course. You can manage your progress through your Individual Learning Plan which will record your achievements. , ,

Everyone who loves reading, writing and creative thinking is very welcome to join., Beginners and more experienced writers are welcome. You should be willing to try new approaches to writing, to develop your own creative potential, and to encourage others in the group too., ,
