Would you like to develop your French conversation skills? This short course offers you the opportunity to use conversational French in a friendly, relaxed and supportive environment with the aim to improve your fluency and accuracy. There will be plenty of opportunities to discuss current events and personal interests in pairs and small groups.
By the end of the course students will be able to:- socialise and be understood in a variety of situations, - exchange views more confidently on a range of topical subjects. - use language appropriate to the situation and subject.
You will gain a more in-depth socio-cultural knowledge of the country where the language is spoken.

How will I be taught?

A variety of teaching strategies will be used. Students will converse in pairs, groups and take part in role play.
While there is no formal assessment your learning will be evaluated in informal ways such as questioning and discussion. You can manage your progress through your Individual Learning Plan which will record your achievements.

What do I need to have with me?

Students will need access to a device that will allow them to join the zoom class. Bring a pen and paper and an A4 ring binder for any printouts that may be emailed, although we advise students not to buy anything until after the first session.
Students can bring a pen and paper, but as this is a conversation course, we encourage students to only rely on written notes if necessary.

What can I do next?

Your tutor will be willing to discuss options for other French courses with you.
If you are interested in other subjects too, please ask at Reception or visit www.kentadulteducation.co.uk.

During your course your tutor will offer guidance in relation to your personal progression route. Courses are designed to progress you to further study or into employment. In addition some of our courses support access to Further and Higher Education opportunities. KAE web site has information about these courses and developing your own business. Please speak with your tutor if you have an interest in self-employment or an interest in developing a career. We can also help you access the National Careers service.
