This course will be held at Tenterden Adult Education centre at our new classroom at Homewood School, Ashford Road, Tenterden TN30 6LL

This five week course will cover aspects of practical gardening and will help to give you the knowledge and confidence to get the best out of your garden. Each week you will focus on a different topic for example soil, planting for sun/shade, flowers and shrubs. There will be elements of theory and practical in this course.

This course will be taught by Jo Arnell. Jo is RHS trained in Horticulture and Garden Design, with an emphasis on plants and borders, Jo is keen to inspire everyone to enjoy growing and living with plants through the seasons.

Our new classroom is near the School Farm. After coming into the school site via the main entrance, turn immediately left, go straight on past the main school reception and past the main exit, you will then see signage directing you to our classroom.

How will I be taught?

There will be explanations and discussions. Your Tutor will go through the principles of garden design answering any questions you may have.

There will be some practical/hands on activities to help develop your knowledge and understanding of this subject.

What do I need to bring with me?

Bring with you a notebook and pen.
Minimum equipment will be needed and theTutor will supply further information at the start of the course.
