About the Tutor: Mushed Miah

You will work on a variety of activities as a class and in small groups or pairs. This allows the tutor to attend to individual needs as well as to direct the learning of the group as a whole. A variety of teaching strategies will be used. You will be expected to do homework: an average of 1-2 hours per week
An individual learning plan of work (ILP) is developed between you and the tutor. The ILP will be regularly monitored and discussed with your tutor. Additionally, your work will be regularly marked by your tutor who will give you oral/written feedback.

You can already understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g.
very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). You can already communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
You can already describe in simple terms aspects of your background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
