Italian Beginners - Modular Course - C

The focus will be on speaking and listening. Some reading and writing will also be included. Pronunciation and Italian culture are an integral part of the course. The course will be conducted mainly in the foreign language. Learners will work through different activities individually, in pairs and in small groups, using a variety of learning methods and resources (role-play and games etc). Homework set will provide an opportunity for self-study.
Initial assessment will be carried out at the beginning of the course to assess individual skill level. Each student' starting point will be recorded on an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) to set targets. This will be revisited regularly during the course to monitor and record your progress. Tutors will give written or verbal feedback.

The course book will be discussed at the first session if appropriate. Students will need to bring a pen and paper and an A4 ring binder for handouts, although we advise students not to buy anything until after the first session.

The appropriate follow-on course after completion of at least two modules is a Beginners Plus course. The tutor will be able to advise or check www.kentadulteducation.co.uk


During your course your tutor will offer guidance in relation to your personal progression route. Courses are designed to progress you to further study or into employment. This course is for students who have completed the Beginners Modular courses A and/or B or for those with a basic knowledge of the language who want to consolidate or refresh their skills at a Beginners level. This course is not for complete beginners.
