How will I be taught?

Our craft courses provide an opportunity for you to learn and develop skills, techniques and understand how to design for this craft. Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including: demonstration, instruction, one-to-one tutorial guidance, and group discussions and critiques. You will be encouraged to look at the work of other craftspeople and artists, both contemporary and historical and keep a sketchbook/notebook to record goals/ ideas, processes and progress.
Your tutor will give you feedback during each class during one to one tuition or through group critiques. You will also be given the opportunity to tell your tutor what you want to achieve in the class and you can measure your success in your Individual Learning Plan, ILP.
Our courses are taught by qualified and experienced tutors most of whom are practising craftspeople.

What do I need to bring with me?

You will need to bring an A4 sketch pad, stationary, apron, hair pin/tie for long hair, wear closed in shoes and money to buy silver, copper, brass used during your projects.
