Who is the tutor?
About the Tutor: Sarah Ee
How will I be taught?
The tutor will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstrations, one to one guidance, group discussions and critiques. You will be taught through initial demonstrations of design techniques and printmaking processes. Once you feel confident with the materials and the techniques explored in the initial stages, you will be encouraged to create your own design and explore the possibilities that the printmaking processes offer.
What do I need to bring with me?
You should bring a hardback, ring bound A4 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper eg. 140gsm; graphite pencils HB, 2B, 4B; printmaking is a messy process so an apron is essential (or an old shirt); any imagery that appeals to you (from magazines, newspapers perhaps) or sketches you have made.
What can I do next?
Your tutor will advise.
What do I need to join the course
A broad interest in printmaking techniques and its potential for adaptability and creative investigation.
