Do you want to speak more Spanish and build on your basic skills? This is the aim of this Spanish Beginners Plus course.
You will benefit from exchanging with a supportive tutor and others as you practise speaking and enjoy learning the language. You will build on your previous knowledge of basic key phrases, vocabulary, simple grammar and culture.

The purpose of this course is to reinforce and revise grammatical structures learnt in Beginners Plus 1 and 2 and to expand upon vocabulary.

By the end of the course, successful students will be able to:
• exchange information about self, work and life
• express likes and dislikes / agreements and disagreements
• exchange information about past events
• explain simple health problems
• make arrangements using the simple future

You will be given homework to reinforce classroom learning.

Who is the tutor?

About the Tutor: Selene Genovesi

Selene has a Bachelor Degree in Modern Languages and Literature and an MA in Literary Translation.
She has always had a great passion for all literatures and has started studying (and then teaching) languages to be able to read more books!
She is currently member of many “borderless” clubs in English and Italian, devouring classic and contemporary titles, as well as being an avid reader of Literary Criticism magazines and blogs online.

How will I be taught?

The emphasis on this course is on listening and speaking. The lesson focus on language that is required in authentic situations. To help you develop language skills the course will be conducted mainly in the foreign language. You will work through different activities individually, in pairs and in small groups, using a variety of learning methods and resources (role-play, games…). To ensure your progression, it is essential to attend on a regular basis. We also recommend that you spend 1 – 2 hours each week doing private study as directed by your tutor.

What do I need to have with me?

The course book will be discussed at the first session if appropriate. Students will need to bring a pen and paper and an A4 ring binder for handouts, although we advise students not to buy anything until after the first session.

What do I need to join the course

For anybody who is looking to improve the practical speaking and listening skills needed to cope with day to day scenarios when travelling and socialising in Hispanic speaking countries.
This course follows on from our Spanish Beginners Plus 1 and 2 . Students need to have attended at least one of these courses or have learnt some Spanish in the past. Students should be able to talk simply about self, work and life, express likes and dislikes / agreements and disagreements and have a basic knowledge of the past tense
