Spanish Intermediate Plus - Summer Course

The focus will be on speaking and listening. Some reading and writing will also be included. Pronunciation and Hispanic culture are an integral part of the course. The course will be conducted mainly in the foreign language. Learners will work through different activities individually, in pairs and in small groups, using a variety of learning methods and resources (role-play and games etc). Homework set will provide an opportunity for self-study to reinforce learning.
Initial assessment will be carried out at the beginning of the course to assess individual skill level. Each student' starting point will be recorded on an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) to set targets. This will be revisited regularly during the course to monitor and record progress. Tutors will mark homework and give written or verbal feedback

The course book will be discussed at the first session if appropriate. Students will need to bring a pen and paper and an A4 ring binder for handouts, although we advise students not to buy anything until after the first session.

There is a short “Intermediate Plus - Summer School” to follow-up and reinforce learning. After this, the next appropriate follow-on course is an Advanced course. The tutor will be able to advise or check www.kentadulteducation.co.uk.
During your course your tutor will offer guidance in relation to your personal progression route. Courses are designed to progress you to further study or into employment. The course follows on from our Spanish Intermediate course and is for anyone who has the knowledge of the tenses and basic structure of the language and needs fluency and conversation practice.
Students need to have attended a Spanish Intermediate course or have studied the language for approximately 300 hours or completed Spanish GCSE (A/C grades) or O level some time ago. You should be able to speak confidently in predictable everyday situations.
