How will I be taught?
The modules are completed online, in your own time. At the end of every module, there is an online assessment to complete which tests your understanding of the content. This part of the course should be completed in approximately twenty-three hours.
Students enrolling in the course will receive a copy of the Guild's full colour 366-page Reflexology text book and a technique DVD to support the online material. Students can use these to refer to throughout their learning and once they have finished the course.
The practical element of this course will take place at the Adult Education centre and you will need to complete 3 client case studies with 6 treatments each. You must expect at least four hours homework per week which will mainly comprise of practising Reflexology skills and case studies with some background reading to consolidate learning. You must attend all sessions.
Teaching methods will include demonstration, lecture input, discussion and time for question and answer sessions. Students are required to undertake a programme of case studies which involves giving treatments and writing up the results. These usually take place outside teaching hours. Progress is monitored at all stages.
