How will I be taught?
There will be demonstrations, group and individual teaching and you will receive one to one feedback throughout the course.
What do I need to bring with me?
You will need co-ordinating fabrics such as craft cotton fat quarters or shirting which can be new or recycled fabrics. Light weight quilt batting or 2oz polyester wadding will also be needed – craft Vilene can be used for some styles if wished.
A basic sewing kit will also be required. This should include fine pins, needles, threads to match your chosen fabric, sharp dressmaking scissors, small sharp embroidery scissors and tape measure. Rotary cutter, mat and ruler would be useful if you have them.
A fully functioning electric sewing machine with pedal and power cable plus machine threads and bobbins to fit your machine. The machine manual will be essential. There are sewing machine at the centre you could use if you do not have a machine.
A note book and pen will be needed and a smart phone to take pictures is also recommended.
